Welcome to MOM6 - a next-generation open-source ocean model that combines the best of GOLD (http://code.google.com/p/gold-omod/) and MOM5 (http://mom-ocean.org). This wiki describes the installation and setup of MOM6 and the accompanying sea ice model, SIS2. It also outlines how you can contribute to help build a better ocean model.

Getting help and reporting issues

For error reports and help requests it would be most helpful to all if a "GitHub issue" is created on the appropriate repository.

For all help requests and error reports please use:

• MOM6-examples issues for installation and setup, the tools or model configurations.
• MOM6 issues for MOM6 source code (bugs and feature requests).
• SIS2 issues for SIS2 source code (bugs and feature requests).

For self-help

Setup information is intended to be primarily supported via the MOM6-examples wiki (that you are already reading). It is a "wiki" so feel free to correct and contribute.

An API documentation is in progress. A user guide for working with the MOM6 ocean model will magically appear one day.
