Nvidia-fs with headless drivers

For GDS (nvidia-gds) install with cuda-11.4. Is there a set of steps to follow for separate installation of nvidia 470 drivers (headless) and nvidia-fs.

Currently when following instructions from https://docs.nvidia.com/gpudirect-storage/troubleshooting-guide/index.html#install-uninstall-debian, since I have nvidia-470-headless installed, it asks me to forcefully uninstall headless drivers and updated with usual versions?

The systems does not recognise nvidia-fs when installed separately. This was not the issue before release of GDS with cuda-11.4 toolkit.

Please help and if you can direct me to any resources. That would be great. Thank you!
