How can I map a shortcut to trigger commit(directly into commit msg insert) #582

Yeah you can set that up in your config by adding disable_insert_on_commit = false or you can even set disable_insert_on_commit = "auto" to set it up so that if the commit message is empty, go to insert mode, if there's already a commit message for example in an ammend commit, start with normal mode. You can read about it in the readme here.
