I notice the popular topics widget uses the topic creation date rather than the last update time.
In other words, you could have the duration set to "month" and there could be a topic that gets commented on / viewed twice as much as any other thread every single day, but because it was created longer than a month ago, it's not shown in the popular topics list.
This seems wrong to me. If the topic is still very active (i.e. commented on / viewed the most in the last month), it should appear in the list.
I can't really think of a good use case for the way it's currently done but if there is one, maybe this could be added as a toggle option so people can still use the creation date if they want to...
