This driver is a reference implementation and is not intended for production use. It is provided as-is and is not supported by Nordic Semiconductor ASA. It can be used in any Linux environment to evaluate the nRF70 series Wi-Fi SoC family.
Are there plans for Nordic to provide and maintain a stable (production-ready) Linux driver for the nRF7002? If so, what is the timeline for such a production-quality driver. We are currently evaluating the nRF7002 for an IoT gateway product, but without proper Linux support this would be a non-starter.
Similarly, the Zephyr OS driver documentation states support for SoftAP and WiFi Direct. I can see some "AP" mode support in the Makefile, but it does not seem to be ready yet. Could you comment on the AP support with a timeline?
