Reducing merge conflicts with Directory.Packages.props when using updating automated tools

When using Directory.Packages.props file I've found that I'm getting an increasing amount of merge conflicts with when using renovate and Azure DevOps. It seems to only happen when the changes have happened in the line before or after. Is there any way to enforce spacing within these files to reduce merge conflicts?
