This is a minor release, focused on correcting a potential security issue with incorrect versions of Electron being used in the build process.

Release Notes

This is a major release, which adds buying and selling cryptocurrencies, opt in analytics, and many optimizations and bug fixes.

This release is not backwards compatible with previous releases. Once you have installed this release, you cannot use your data with an older install.

Users with an older release will not be able to buy or view cryptocurrency listings made with this release. Store pages and search results that include cryptocurrencies will fail to display for those users.

This release uses version 0.12.0 of the openbazaar-go server.

New Features

• The ability to buy and sell cryptocurrencies was added. The currencies can be sold at market rates. This feature is experimental, and is expected to be rapidly iterated on as we recieve feedback from users. #1308
• An opt-in analytics package was added. Users are able to choose to share non-identifying data with the development team. This will facilitate identifying bugs and improving the app. Users can start or stop sharing data at any time. #1277

Improvements

• Norweigan, Polish, and Ukranian translations reached the 80% translated requirement, and were added as options for the client. #1324
• When viewing your sales, unfunded orders will now be hidden by default, since you cannot take action on those orders, and they clutter up the list of orders. You can still chose to view those orders. #1310
• Listing card image loads will now cancel when the image card is no longer on the screen. This primarily improves the experience when changing pages in the search results or navigating away from a page of search results that hasn't finished loading. #1309
• Verified moderators are now lazy-loaded. This will speed up startup, and notify the user if the list of verified moderators changes while they are looking at information that will be affected by that change. #1298
• Verified moderators are loaded from a Tor endpoint if the user is in Tor mode. #1284

Bug Fixes

• Blockdozer changed their URL for viewing BCH transactions, the URL used when viewing details of transactions has been updated. #1320
• An issue where the no valid moderators error would show on an error at the same time as the no verified moderators message, and with the wrong formatting, was corrected. #1307
• A problem where invalid mods would never stop loading was fixed. #1306
• Error messages meant for only the purchase flow no longer appear in the settings/store tab. #1306
• Some layout issues with moderator cards were corrected. #1300
• In the settings/store tab, if a moderator assigned to your store has become invalid, now the only option is to de-select them. #1300
• An unused memo parameter was removed from the purchase call. #1314
• A minor layout issue was corrected in the transactions list. #1285
• The bug where pages stats are changed to zero in the page tabs on the user page when the page settings are updated was fixed. #1287
• A layout issue with verified moderators was fixed. #1270
• Store pages will now open if one of the listings in them has an unrecognized currency value. #1269
• The View Details button on transactions will now support Bech32 transactions. #1334

Release Notes

This is a minor release, with several improvements such as better handling of orders with problematic fees and a new verified moderators system.

Changelog

New Features

• Orders with fees that are too high relative to the total of the order are no longer blocked in the interface, they are blocked on the server when the purchase is attempted. If the fee is larger than 25% of the order total, it will be rejected, as this could cause refunds, canceled orders or moderated settlements to fail when a second fee is subtracted, leaving a negative balance. #1217
• When looking at an order's details, if the other party's contract has not been received yet (this can happen if the other node was offline at the time of purchase, and has not come back online yet) it will be indicated with an icon. The order details screen will update when the other contract arrives. #1232
• Orders that have an error will now be shown with an Error status in the Sales and Purchases screens. This will fix some problems with "missing" orders, and alert the buyer and seller that they need to retry the purchase. #1237
• A new verified moderators system has been added. Moderators that are verified by the user's current verification provider will be shown with a verified badge. Listings with at least one verified moderator available will also have a badge. This will assist users with choosing moderators and avoiding scams. Currently the verification moderator uses an OB1 service, an option to change the service used will be added in a future release. #1240

Improvements

• The way search works when switching providers has been improved. Now when switching providers only the search term, if any, the default value for showing nsfw listings from the user's settings, and the user's current cryptocurrency are applied. #1244
• The moderator display code has been rewritten to show moderators with invalid data, or that are no longer moderators, in the Settings/Store screen so users can remove them. #1221
• The BTC donation address was updated. #1247
• A max-width of 100% was added to images in the home tab on the user's page, to prevent large images from disrupting the layout. #1245

Bug Fixes

• Cosmetic fix to payment tooltips. #1234
• A bug where the inventory on a listing was not always saved was fixed. #1248
