# Sierpiński triangle

> The **Sierpinski triangle** (also with the original orthography Sierpiński), also called the **Sierpinski gasket** or **Sierpinski sieve**, is a fractal attractive fixed set with the overall shape of an equilateral triangle, subdivided recursively into smaller equilateral triangles.
