I recently upgraded from Elegant 1.3 to 5.3. When footnotes are typeset in html, the footnote number now takes up half a column. See the restructured text code fragment below and a screen shot of the html output. I do not know if this footnote typesetting is a bug or if you intended this behavior. I think the footnote number should be just a few characters wide, like before. Can you suggest a way to recover the prior behavior?
