Only 3 pixels working + unexpected change in speed

I tried with 4 pixels connected but only the first 3 pixels lit up, I double checked everything.
Also strange is that instead of looping constantly over the 3 first pixels with the same pattern there seems to change something over time like as if the update-speed is changing but maybe it's another effect I'm seeing. Not sure yet.
