Summary

I am experiencing an issue when DSC is installed, and a symlink is created. Any command doesn't work when the dsc.settings.json file is not found.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install dsc.exe through winget in an elevated session: winget install --id Microsoft.DSC.Preview --source winget --installer-type zip --location "C:\Program Files\DSC"
  2. Run dsc resource list

No resources are discovered because of the following error message: Could not read 'tracing' setting

WinGet creates a symlink.

Expected behavior

dsc command should work

Actual behavior

dsc command doesn't work
