I think we planned for this before but eventually said that we would do it later.

So I just want to bring it up, because some people may not be comfortable with the risk that they may get a disconnect and then someone previously permitted can tie them up to give them a surprise when they get back and and are totally not in the mood for this to happen.

This permission would be default deny, and a prompt makes no sense obviously.

If a permission makes no sense or has technical issues, we could even make it so being offline protects you always from being interacted with in certain ways.

Note that we had this originally and intentionally removed it.
The reasoning was safety of domes - if your partner disconnects (and especially if you don't know why) you want to be able to free them instead of worrying about the next time they will return and how it will affect them.

Ahhh, yes, I forgot about that! True!

Then two more ideas:

  • Either this needs no permission as it would be addressed by the planned feature to auto leave (if possible) on DC
  • Or it could only starts protecting you after some time, like after 10 mins. But then the permission would be hard to explain.
