Whitelisting or deactivating protonvpn for a browser or website

Hello am using protonvpn installed on kali linux but am unable to whitelist a website or stop a browser from from using the vpn since some sites automatically block me please i need some help. I want the vpn to be run from my computer rather than an extension since I'll be using it on cli too. Also I have two browsers brave and firefox I want only firefox to be excluded in this case.
