In the .send and .edit commands it should be possible to mention users without pinging them. For this purpose, when sending the message the mentions should be converted as follows:

Type Mention in command Ping in bot message
User Ping <!@userid> <@userid>
Role Ping <!@&roleid> <@&roleid>
eveyone Ping @!everyone @everyone
here Ping @!here @here
