This has now been supported for over a year on Chromium-based browsers and for about half a year on Firefox, with a certain bug that would've been problematic now also resolved on Safari, so this should be fine for 99% of users. The ones using browsers without support for this probably also have javascript disabled, so the site won't work for them anyway.
