https://github.com/Reproducible-Science-Curriculum/organization-RR-Jupyter/blob/gh-pages/_episodes/03-metadata.md

  • Add bullet points for Good, Better, Best (GBB)
  • Add an "origin of data files" to the common things in READMEs (to connect other episode)
  • Second half needs to be fleshed out
  • Discuss: Should this be called "Metadata" or "READMEs"?
  • Add checklist

I can come up with something for "Origin of data files", but i'm not sure what belongs under "Keeping the READMEs up to date"

This lesson was dramatically shortened. Metadata section is now mentioned as README introduction in teaching lesson. If metadata section is needed in curriculum. The organization lesson still could be a good place to insert.

I brought the episode back. It will probably be largely skipped over when taught within the regular curriculum, but contains useful content and information when visited through self-study, and when taught as a module in a mixed workshop.

I agree the question about renaming to something that emphasizes README more than metadata as a concept would be useful.
