If you try to share a photo/video/file from an application external to rocketchat, clicking share with RocketChat, the application opens and goes blank. But there are two cases, in iOS when I try it apparently the file is sent (it doesn't happen that it stays blank), but it never arrives, when I enter the application an error appears when uploading the file, if I try to retry it doesn't do nothing. The other case is on Android where what I told you before happens, the pop-up screen when you click on share goes blank and nothing can be done.
Environment Information:
Rocket.Chat Server Version: 6.8.0
Rocket.Chat App Version: 4.50.1.63099
Device Name: iPhone 13mini/ Samsung A15
OS Version: Ubuntu 20.04 in Docker
Steps to reproduce:
Click on share (a WhatsApp photo/file/audio/video)
Share with RocketChat
Send photo to a 1:1 chat or channel/team
Expected behavior:
It is expected that the photo is sent correctly
Actual behavior:
This is in the example of iOS, which sends it and gets an error, I hit retry again and it stays in a loop like this (the attached photo is when I hit "retry")
Additional context:
With normal WhatsApp text messages you can forward them without problems on iOS, on Android they are blank when you go directly to share, it doesn't matter what type of file it is.
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
I just tried installing the RocketChat Experimental application, on two devices, one Samsung and the other Xiaomi, and it hasn't given me any problems when it comes to sharing files from WhatsApp Business, or from the gallery. Now I just tried again with the normal application on a Samsung and from WhatsApp Business it also allows me to share photos, but audio messages remain blank when I do "Share > RocketChat > Select a room", this happens to me with both applications . It is possible that the application may not be prepared for the type of file that WhatsApp uses for photos.
