Error: Cannot enter signin information - popup disappears instantly

When trying to initialize the connection to Datasphere, I rapidly see a popup windows requesting sign in info (username and password), but it disapears instantly, hence not letting me fill up the sign in info.

If I use the option "use my default web browser" in the settings for Authentication Browser, then I get the error "Something went wrong. Value cannot be null. Parameter name: uriString". I use Chrome as my default browser, if that change anything...
