Hi @matt-goldman-ssw

Looking at your card here I found it strange and inconsistent to have a bullet point with extra info

  • 1. Please fix by keeping a single and consice sentence about you (less is more)

Hi @amankumarrr ,

  • 1. Could we limit the content for Presenters blurb to allow paragraphs only? No headings no lists, no quotes etc...?
  • 2. Could we also limit the number of characters? I'd say 500

ChatGPT:

An ideal professional blurb about someone typically falls within the range of 150 to 300 characters. This provides enough space to highlight key skills, accomplishments, and experience while keeping it concise and easy to read.

Here’s a breakdown for different purposes:

LinkedIn Summary or Bio: Usually around 150-200 characters for concise bios, but LinkedIn allows more for detailed summaries (up to 2,000 characters).
Conference Speakers or Author Bios: Around 200-300 characters is a common length for such professional blurbs.
Website Bio or Company Profiles: Can range from 300 to 500 characters for a more detailed overview.

❌ Not done. This isn't something I wrote specifically for this page, this is pulled from the SSW People profile. I think we probably need a specific bio for the events, which I am happy to do.

Hi @amankumarrr

I just learned from @matt-goldman-ssw 's comment this is automatically pulled from SSW.People profiles.

My suggestion would be to the create a new frontmatter field called "bio".

Note: I guess this needs to be actioned in collaboration with SSW.People team.

E.g.:

qualifications: "Barchelor of Advertising, Applied Web Development Certificate, Certified Scrum Master"
quote: "It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see."
quoteAuthor: "Henry David Thoreau"
<!-- The bio is a blurb for Events - Keep it to under 500 characters -->
bio: "With over 15 years of experience in both print and web design, he enjoys working with Figma and writing clean HTML/CSS for websites and apps. Tiago has created responsive websites and applications, handling everything from concept and layout to implementation, testing, and maintenance."

Happy to hear other ideas ;)

PS. When this is up and running we need to update SugarLearning to tell everyone to update their profiles.

To add to this - this short bio would be awesome for SSW Rewards as well (cc @zacharykeeping @tkapa @sethdaily)

I suggest we auto-generate it using AI based on the rest of the profile.
