Problem this feature will solve

The program structure of the Nexus Writer, whilst functional, does not currently reflect the structure of the NeXus file format very well, which makes updating and maintaining the code confusing and error prone.

Description of solution

Refactor the code to reflect the file structure, and make as much use of compile-time checking to ensure correctness.
