I understand that "send read receipts" setting should stop syncing my read receipts to other users, but still keep the message read status info in sync between all the devices and sessions where I'm logged in with the same account, right?:
Now, if I disable that setting, the messages that I've already read on my computer will be seen as unread on my mobile, and vice versa. I tested couple of times to disable and enabled that setting and it seemed that read status will be in sync if it's enabled, and not if it's disabled.
I want to stop sending my read receipts to the other users, but still keep the read status in sync between all of my own devices/sessions.
Or, should I report this issue to Element? Are you able to reproduce this?
I'm using SchildiChat version: 1.11.36-sc.3 and my Matrix server is: matrix-synapse 1.28.0-1~bpo10+2.
