I added a custom profile just for enabling DashboardViewer custom role, but noticed that didn't have any effect. In this discussion comment I saw that FullAccess is required to view the dashboard.

Let's fix that, and while we're at it address the other missing custom roles / logic. Based on logging in with FullAccess and then another user with the "viewer" profiles, the items that no longer show without FullAccess are:

Promotions
Suppliers
Settings (sub pages)
