Indicator image invisble in i3bar #6
Comments
i3 is an independent WM? the indicator is for Ubuntu exclusively. I'm not sure what to use for a standard, universal indicator. Maybe Qt tray? |
I run i3 on ubuntu |
Same in openbox -> tint2 panel. The indicator icon is missing :( |
Does your desktop setup include dbus? i3 sounds very minimum. My fan control uses the https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DesktopExperienceTeam/ApplicationIndicators to show up itself and the desktop must support that. It's not like a common tray/notification icon such as Skype's, and I no longer have a Clevo laptop to work on improvements. |
I suppose I could try to move it to Qt, which has the native notification icon support. But you'll have to help me testing it as there is no Clevo machine and I can only test the simple icon and menu. |
Has anyone manage to fix this by any chance? On GNOME 3.36 the temperature shows but not the icon |
Using i3, the indicator is invisble. I'm not sure why, but I'll probably look into it since I'm guessing no one here is running i3.
