There are just way too many "false positives" for the stale/interpolated values flags to be generally useful. This applies to both the regular and the daytime versions of these flags. I suspect it's far more likely that a user mistakenly applies them than applies them with the required extreme care.
I put "false positives" in quotes because the flags are doing what they are supposed to do in a very limited sense. But the implication of the user interface and documentation is that this kind of flag is supposed to get rid of bad points and that rarely happens.
Easy enough to remove them, but I'd also consider burying them in an "advanced options" menu or something like that.
