Hmm, that's odd - I'm trying to reproduce and I can't; all characters are able to be removed with backspace as usual, backslash and dash included. Are you using a US English input method?
Yes I am. I'll admit I hadn't tried to restart Masterplan before posting this, but, from my non-backspace-accepting project window, I closed MasterPlan, ran sudo dnf install xclip, launched MasterPlan and went back into the project, and then I could backspace with special characters.
Interestingly, if I close MasterPlan and uninstall xclip, then open MasterPlan again, I can also backspace if there are special characters.
So I'm guessing that restarting MasterPlan fixed it and it has nothing to do with xclip. Why it happened in the first place, though, I have no idea. I'll keep you posted if I encounter this again. We can close this for now, or leave it open, up to you.
This is on MasterPlan v.0.7.1 built from source for Fedora.
New Project > New Task > Type characters into task description and then add a backslash or dash character, you cannot backspace anymore.
