Open Operations Manifesto

Community,

we have developed a clear perception of digital sovereignty, which some of us presented at various events. The highest level introduces the concept of Open Operations that encourages to freely share operational knowledge just as it has been happening with code for more than 40 years. Let us continue on promoting this concept among the industry and write down further ideas on this concept. We once agreed on having something like an Open Operations Manifesto which companies, organizations and individuals can agree on.

I created a Jekyll boilerplate for signable open letters in my spare time: https://github.com/itrich/vsh-bleibt

My idea is the following:

• Fork the mentioned repository, prune the commit history and adapt the style to our needs
• Gather with interested community members in one of the overflow slots and collect the various ideas on how to embrace Open Operations
• Condense the ideas into an Open Operations Manifesto and host the static site on GitHub pages (@fkr thankfully reserved some domains for this)
• Promote this manifesto and let companies sign
