Export shortcut for current configuration so games can be run directly #21
Comments
Seems like a no-brainer to me. When I use NucleusCoop I'm generally gaming from the couch with my friends, so it'd be a Godsend to be able to launch a splitscreen shortcut from Big Picture. |

Big +1 from me |
Another big +1 for me. I would gladly donate towards development of this feature. |
+1 for me as well, would be an awesome feature! |
+1, useful function |
+1—just start and play, hope it will be implemented soon |
I had no idea this wasn't a possibility. I came here to find the various command line arguments to implement a shortcut launcher from Steam, but Nucleus Coop doesn't appear to have any startup flags mentioned anywhere. |

I'd like to suggest a "Create Shortcut" button that bundles the configuration you've just setup for a particular game, including screen dimensions, monitor choice, input devices, and input device to screen associations, into a standard
.lnk
Windows shortcut. This would allow users to run NucleusCoop games directly from the desktop, and, more importantly, their preferred launcher (Playnite, GOG Galaxy, LaunchBox...) without having to manually configure the same damn setup every single time they want to play.Ideally, you should be able to load such shortcuts back into NucleusCoop to make changes and then re-export, so perhaps saved configurations would be best stored in a
.ini
or similar, and then the shortcuts would simply reference the.ini
instead of being exported as a giant list of command-line parameters, but I'll leave the implementation details to the experts. The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
