Make all UI components navigable using a TV remote when running on a TV device. (The buttons on these remotes usually map to regular keyboard buttons, like the Enter key and the arrow keys.)
Extend the default UI to use an optimized layout on TV devices.

Some ideas:

Instead of showing a play/pause button, make pressing the OK button (Enter key) on the seekbar toggle play/pause (like the YouTube app).
In the default UI, move all of the controls to the bottom.
