I installed the appstore version 1.9.3 on High Sierra. I could not get pasting of clippings to work. Not with the keyboard shortcut and not by clicking the clipping (with menu selection pastes checked in prefs). Flycut is in Accessibility setting in system settings. Did restart etc.

Then I deleted 1.9.3 and installed 1.9.2. DRM free version and everything works. So I guess there is a bug or incompatibility in the latest appstore version, maybe in combination with High Sierra.

EDIT:
FYI I already had the older version 1.5 before I upgraded to 1.9.3. So it could also be something to do with this upgrade (the old prefs or library items).

I can't use the keyboard (cmd+shift+v) shortcut on the latest App Store version (updated today) on Catalina. The Flycut modal just stays open until I press the Esc key. Still works when clicking on the Flycut icon/menus.

I'm also seeing this. I'm on Mojave 10.14.6

@TermiT I recall you saying that the reason the App Store hadn’t been updated since 1.5 (8-9 years ago) was because Apple wouldn’t allow the code that synthesizes the paste keystroke, so it could put things in the pasteboard but not actually do the Cmd-v TI paste them. Did that code get removed, or did Apple allow it anyway? Or I wonder if Apple just disabled that code path. I’m surprised to see the App Store version updated.

@MarkJerde looks like on Catalina they changed the behavior and it works for me, that's why I released the update. I need to see what can be done for older versions of OSX

@ianlotinsky-lz did you try to disable "Sticky Bezel" in settings?

@remcokalf: I had the same problem, same upgrade path and same error, having Accessibility checked on flycut.

The problem is that in "System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Accessibility" the check is probably referred to the OLD version of Flycut (You can see something wrong because You cannot deselect it).

I solved removing the entry "Flycut" in "System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Accessibility" (possibly referring the old version), and re-adding Flycut choosing the newly installed Flycut app.

Hope this helps.

@Uozzon Thanks, I tried it, but this, with version 1.9.4 from the app store. It does not work on High Sierra. Reverted back to 1.9.2 DRM free version.

Confirming no paste using 1.9.4 on OS 10.13.6 regardless of bezel or accessibility settings. Reinstalled 1.9.3 and back in business. I can't work without this app! I turn it on to everyone I know. Thx

Ok, one more time.

For OSX 10.13 and older use DRM-Free version: https://github.com/TermiT/Flycut/releases

For OSX 10.14 and later use either App Store or DRM-Free version. But don't forget to give Flycut access in System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Accessibility. If you had the previous version of Flycut installed, you might need to remove if from Accessibility first and add it again.

Also, check if you have "Sticky Bezel" enabled in settings. If it's enabled the app would not close bezel after releasing the hotkey

Happened again just now copying and pasting something between Slack and Google Docs with Shift+Cmd+V. Restarted FlyCut and it's working again; can't reproduce.
