The autonomy of household NPCs is not ideal. There seems to be quite a difference between NPCs on home lots compared to NPCs on vacation lots. This might be happening by design as maxis probably did not intend NPCs on home lots to behave like normal household members. Further investigation is needed though.

@SimKrazy For further investigation it might be good to know the differences in autonomy between home lots, vacation lots, public lots and home lots owned by someone other than the active household.

After more testing I think I may have found some bugs.
1. When NPCs go to work or school the little icon stays even when they are home. You can reload the lot and reset the sim and it's still there. If you take control of them again sometimes it goes away sometimes it doesn't.
2. I only had one controllable sim and some times 3x speed would work and other times it wouldn't weather that sims was at home or at work, or if the NPCs were awake or sleep.
**3.**When on community lots or when visiting another non active households if the active sim tries to leave they go to the spawn point and just stand there until you click on them and click switch to (sim name).
4. Sometimes when traveling to community lots or when visiting another non active households the toddler would get sent to daycare regardless of what the needs are.
5. Not sure this is a bug I think it's the game not recognizing NPCs as household members but when NPCs go to work they do not get paid.
6. Not sure this is a bug. NPCs for what ever reason choose to almost always take naps over just going to sleep.

Here is some good news. If needs are decent NPCs will travel with you to any lot type and stay until needs drop to low except toddlers. If need are in the red when traveling NPCs will show up then immediately leave. They act like any other NPC when away from active lot from what I can tell. All NPCs will take care of their needs before they die, even the toddler will take care of their self before they get taken away on home lot.

I played with every age group, no other mods, and the mermaid occult type this time. Will test the other occult types soon. This is from a few days of testing.

I've done a little more testing and haven't found anything new. I still haven't fully test all the occult types yet though.
