IIRC, I tried that at one point and found that certain keybindings (e.g., Cmd+O) were being intercepted by the browser. Cf. the previous issue (#20) about keyboard shortcuts.

It's gonna be a pain but eventually someone will have to go through all the major browsers on all the major platforms and make sure we have keybindings that both work and are reasonably idiomatic. See this StackOverflow post and links therein for some (not very encouraging) discussion.
