rating spec endpoint returns alias locations

the rating spec endpoint returns specifications for aliased locations when grabbing all specification for an office. Is this by design or should the aliases be filtered out? I would prefer that the alias be filtered so it shows the same information that cwms-vue displays under the Rating Specification drop down, unless there was a design reason to keep them. I understand maybe wanting the mask to also search for aliases, so maybe a filter applied if the mask is null and only an office is entered?
