In the simulations when I use the term function I am referring to specifying if the spatial autocovariance is tail up, tail down or Euclidean. When I use the term shape, I mean whether the distribution of residuals has an exponential, Gaussian, linear sill, etc. shape. Note, I do not think the different simulations chunks I have coded are producing that marked differences in the simulated data frames.
