Issue type: Bug report

Actual behaviour

Intermittently, but more consistently when playing the first songs in a session, the Audio and Lyrics will be out of sync. This can be corrected by restarting the song.

Expected behaviour

Audio and Lyrics match consistently.

Steps to reproduce

  • Reproducible (mark with x): [ ] always, [x] sometimes

Can be more consistently reproduced by a fresh start of the game, but occasionally still happens after a few songs in. Simply open a song to play and there's a chance it will be out of sync.

Song Data Loading is set to "Upfront". Haven't tested with "On Demand"

Details

Please provide additional information.

  • Game version: Steam
  • Operating System and version: Windows 10
  • Song details, if applicable (e.g. audio and video file for mat): All
  • Attach a log file: Not Generated.

Thank you for this high quality bug report.
This bug is a surprise to me because I never had this issue with latest version of Melody Mania.

Good that you can reproduce it.

  • Could you please specify the audio file format that you are using?

    • Is it really happening with all files?
    • Going further, could you please convert your audio to ogg and see if the issue persists?
  • Could you tell me a song that has this issue such that I can reproduce it?

Simply open a song to play and there's a chance it will be out of sync.

Mmmh, I admit this sounds like it is not related to the file format. Interesting...

The audio file format is .m4a.

So far (maybe 3-4 times since install) it's happened 100% of the time on the first song played, with a high chance on the next, but chance reduces and more songs are played.

I'll look into an mp4 to ogg converter when I get a chance.

I'll follow up with you in discord with a song folder minus the video file.
