See OpenHFT/Chronicle-Map#515

Used in thredds.featurecollection.cache.GridInventoryCacheChronicle.init(GridInventoryCacheChronicle.java:109).

Turns out it is not thread-safe, or something. Don't think it is critical at the moment, but just a heads-up.
