It woud be nice to have a global menu bar at the top of the screen that could show the application menus, as is shown here:

I have collected available "documentation" (or lack thereof) on global menus, but so far I have not had a chance to write a section about how this is supposed to work on Wayland, because, well, I couldn't figure it out yet. But KDE Plasma can do it on Wayland already, and other Wayland based panels are considering it.
