Issue with text on visual novel running in Whiskey? please help

I downloaded Whiskey today because I wanted to play Wonderful Everyday, which is only available on windows, and I have a mac. I barely know anything about tech but I was able to get the game to download, and I fixed issues with the sound.
But now, there's a problem with the text overlapping and being too spaced out (see image below)

I tried downloading a locale emulator(?) but that didn't work within Whiskey. Then I realized there was an option within Whiskey to change the locale, so I tried switching it to japanese, english, and also a few others too just in case. Despite all that though, the text is still messed up.

Edit: I also tried downloading "allfonts" but that also didnt work.
Textractor also didn't work.

If anyone actually knows what they're doing please help me.

Ok, so after trying lots of random things to fix this, what eventually worked was finding the specific font used in this vn, which is called kosugi. I added that font to the c drive thing, and then set the locale for the game to english. Somehow this combination fixed the issue.
