Active filter kills huge comparasion

Sometimes I use I filter like "replace every number [0-9] with nothing." Works fine on (smaller) files when I need it.

But sometimes I close the software, the filter stays activated and the next time I want to compare "monster files" - 50 - 80 MB. The filter is active and starts to replace all numbers - which leads to a problem of heavy CPU-load and no success in opening the file.

So I think it would be nice to have a warning feature like "Attention: you will replace very much in a very large file - to you really want it?".
At the moment I have to wait and to wait and then to kill the software and often I don't know why ...
