I have a custom design of 3 featured posts, it can be done in Gutenberg, but it has a lot of custom CSS, and the goal isn't to allow people to customize how it looks, only how it behaves. Using the Query Loop is a no-brainer here. Unfortunately, it's just hard to setup and use overall. Is there no way to link a
h3
to, saypost.title
that would be provided bycore/query
? Can't I somehowuseSelect
a store that's created on the fly by thecore/query
block? My problem here is that I design a custom block pattern, it looks nice and all, and then I just can't use it under
core/query
, because the images/titles/descriptions/dates are exactly just that. They're not dynamic. So, my question is one of linking those static blocks to dynamic data.Of course, if this isn't the suggested approach, I'm willing to go in an entirely new direction.
Sorry, I've gone through the docs multiple times, searched far and wide, and can't find anything.
