There is no available json file for French. Can you please create and add it to the repository so that we can re-launch the scripts for the Driver set up in Ivory Coast?

We've added languages that we have translations for. We don't have French translations, but if you are able to translate, you can update the repo with French translations by following the instructions here:
https://github.com/WorldBank-Transport/DRIVER/blob/develop/doc/translation.md#web-interface-translations

we tried to add shape files for boundaries and areas. But we received an error message telling the format is not correct. Can you please explain what is the correct format?

The expected format is an ESRI shapefile, which is a .zip file that contains a variety of other files with extensions like .shp, .shx and .dbf. After uploading the .zip file, the system should find the categories of information available for each region it contains and ask you to select which one you would like to use to label the region.

@AntoninoFRED I've added the French translations to the repository here:
https://github.com/WorldBank-Transport/DRIVER/blob/develop/web/app/i18n/fr.json

You can add the French translations to your app when setting it up with the configuration Wizard here:
https://github.com/WorldBank-Transport/DRIVER/blob/develop/doc/system-administration.md#configuration-wizard

Thank you for the reply.
ESRI shapefile is what we tried to use. But it doesn't work.

That's interesting, so you get an error when you try to upload the .zip file? What is the specific error message?

Antonio, the files did not come through because you attached them to the GitHub email. Can you either attach the files on GitHub, or send them to me directly via email?

Here is where to attach them on GitHub:

Hello. Here is the shape file I tried.

Thanks for sharing the shapefile. There are a couple things that are wrong that need fixed about the Shapefile:

  1. The shapefile is made up of only lines. DRIVER needs a shapefile that is made up of polygons. This is mainly because polygons determine what the discrete shapes are. Each part of a polygon shapefile can have attributes like a label and we use that label to name each part. When you upload a polygon shapefile, make sure it has a field that you can use for the "Display Field", which is the name of each part.
  2. The shapefile also needs a .prj to be considered a valid shapefile. If you open your browser's developer tools, you can see the error that is returned says this.

If you can fix those 2 things, I believe the shapefile upload will work.

Thanks Antonio. I'm closing this issue since it was originally for the French translations, which have been added. I created #796 to improve the error message of the shapefile upload and will also update the docs.
