Since latest release, i got these issues if RSSOwlnix is open for too long:
when trying to read an old news, I get this error "assertion failed: unreadCounter must not be negative", unread news counter doesn't reduce and said news isn't marked as read.
1
(if someone wonder, details shows the very same error but you can select and copy it)

after a restart, "readed unread" news disappears but the unread counter keeps unread number
2

fist time it occurred, i had so many "unread readed" items that I just deleted the whole .metadata folder and reimported ompl, thinking my db file was corrupt but it occured again.

OS: win7-64bit
RSSOwlnix version: RSSOwlnix-2-9-0-win32.win32.x86_64.zip

can you reproduce that error reliably with any feed?
or a specific feed? if it only appears with specific feed what is the feed url?

do you have the option for marking duplicate news activated? or any of the other optons on that window that autmatically change unread state?

I can reproduce with any feed afaik
I have mark duplicates as read unticked since new profile (was ticked on old profile witch made me miss news or news comments from websites using shaarli)
And i have mark as read after 0s ticked

For now, the only solution i found (aside using the "delete .metadata folder" bulldozer) to reset read counter on a feed is to change it's URL (like adding a # at end of url), it completely reset the feed.

yes adding # at end is like readding the feed.
try deactivating the auto mark as read after 0s. does it still happen? (mark as read manually then)

deactivated auto mark as read and tried.
after waiting some hours with rssowlnix open (so feeds gets "old"):
working as intended on feed-by-feed but clicking on feeds folder shows no item even when undead items are showing. (clicking on the feed inside folder shows the feed items tho)
