The URL does not go into the Mesh Agent file

My server is in LAN only mode

When I download the agent and install it on the client the machine does not restart because in the .msh file I have MeshServer=Local

I changed to hybrid mode and got the same result. In Wan only mode the same.

if you change the wan/lan/hybrid in config.json,
you are support to uninstall the meshagent from the remote device first,
then redownload the meshagent,
then reinstall the meshagent

you can check what mode its set in by going into the My Server tab then Console tab and running info
you will then see the runMode thats its in, if its lan then it will always be show local in the msh file

if you only need lan/local use then the machines MUST be on the same network/subnet as your meshcentral server,
otherwise they wont connect

also you are support to set cert to a DNS name which your devices can resolve to your meshcentral ip address
OR
do like others do (but your not suppose too) is set it to the meshcentral ip address
dont set cert to a url, just a dns name or ip address

Indeed you are right that you advise me to choose between LAN or WAN.
Here is my infra:

My mesh server is on vlan 10 (XX.XX.10.1)

My client machines on vlan 11, vlan 12, vlan 13 etc.

so you would need to use hybrid or wan
so set cert to a dns name which all your devices can resolve to your meshcentral ip address
(or as i said before but not advised, set it to an ip address)
make sure wanonly and lanonly is false or removed
then restart meshcentral and check the info again to see its runMode

Thank you very much for these clarifications. I adopted the Hybrid method and put _cert in the server name instead of the IP

Everything works correctly.

I am also planning to update the server to the latest version.

I'm going to open a new thread for another issue.
