we came up with the need / idea that it would be great if there's a setting where you can decide if the re-registration will be enabled automatically if the appointment was due.
As you might know, many of our teachers use the organizer for organising their consultation hours and the allowing to re-register via the checkbox within the appointment is not so intuitive. Many teacher simply don't know or oversee the option or they forget to set the checkmark. Then students create a support ticket, because they cannot select another time slot and we have to tell them that the teacher needs to activate the checkbox.
When adding a setting that re-registrations should be open automatically, the teacher could enable this and the students could re-register without any further actions needed by the teacher.
This is not a duplicate of our feature request to allow students to register for more than one time slot (#22). This is really to automatically allow re-registering (what leads to a similar, but not identical result as the other issue).

although I know that COVID-19 pandemic bounded all resources to other tasks, I just wanted to ask if you have any opinion about my proposal? To get an impression if some development could be done or if it's a no go feature for you.
In Moodle plugin scheduler, they have an interesting option : define the number of slot booking a student may make at a time. This enables teachers to define slots where they may meet students during all the year but students may only have a defined number of booking at a time, but when a slot is passed, they may have a new booking in the planning.
