New ACoRD Portal/Forums Post: Title: Ideas for Git –> Portal Contributions The two main tools that we use for development of ACORD products are Github & Gitlab. What we want is a way for the software, contributions and contribution reports to be published between the Git services and this Portal. To do this, we have a few options: This will use IFTTT, Integromat, Zapier, Reddit & the Git services already mentioned. Every service that we use needs to be totally connected. Currently, due to the lack of requirements by other people, there is no easy solution to create activity posts and the like using a service like Integromat, which is why we will have to use the plugin I mentioned above. Creating a comment will then send a notification back to githu, which will then send a message to the other websites/”services” mentioned above. New posts will be published on Reddit, so everything will be sent there. Things posted in Reddit will also go into Github. All of this will be browseable from the Portal, as well as the backup. by: Gizmotronn on 2020-02-01T18:09:05.000Z at http://allianceofdroids.org.au/portal/forums/topic/ideas-for-git-portal-contributions/#post-101; http://allianceofdroids.org.au/portal/forums/topic/ideas-for-git-portal-contributions/#post-101View the full post at http://gitlab.com/acord-robotics/robodev/s2rd |

New ACoRD Portal/Forums Post: Title: Recording video with a $6 camera on the Raspberry Pi Published on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/ACORDRobotics/comments/frl5sq/recording_video_with_a_raspberry_pi_rraspberry_pi/
The Open Source Rover, which is one of the projects that we’ll be using the Pi for, does not actually have a camera module (the partslist is available at https://github.com/nasa-jpl/open-source-rover/blob/master/README.MD ) This means that we can potentially try out this camera on some other projects (like mini-robots) before transitioning it over to the OSR & our droid. As we’re having the entire project set being open-source, we want to ensure that the project files (as well as hardware instructions, which will be written on the Pi) are backed up, and here’s a link explaining how to do that: https://maker.pro/raspberry-pi/tutorial/how-to-back-up-your-raspberry-pi-project-files This also ties in quite nicely with the Open Source Social Network features we’re going to be implementing: http://acord.software/stellarios/hydejack/open-source/network/2020-03-25-opensourcesocialnetworks/ by: Gizmotronn on 2020-03-30T05:53:18.000Z at http://allianceofdroids.org.au/portal/groups/science-of-droidology/forum/topic/recording-video-with-a-6-camera-on-the-raspberry-pi/#post-178; http://allianceofdroids.org.au/portal/groups/science-of-droidology/forum/topic/recording-video-with-a-6-camera-on-the-raspberry-pi/#post-178View the full post at http://gitlab.com/acord-robotics/robodev/s2rd |
