Modal link behaviour in new tabs when navigating from Global Navigation

Issue: Modal Not Opening in New Tabs from Gnav Links

Description: On the provided URL, if you right-click the 'Free trial' link in the global navigation (Gnav) and open it in a new tab, the associated modal does not appear. This issue arises because the current Gnav implementation does not support modal links. In contrast, the region selector in the footer has logic in place to correctly load modal for region modal.

Question: Should we develop a common logic to handle modal-related links for both Gnav and the global footer, or is there an alternative approach to address this issue?

I think we should add the logic to load the modal from Gnav as well. We already have the logic in the footer and body section's modals.
