Icon on launcher disappears when app is frozen

When an app is frozen, it's icon disappears, which makes it inconvenient to freeze apps.

There is an option in Jail to create a launcher icon for a frozen app, to allow having icons of frozen apps, that's great. However when unfreezing and freezing the app, even this icon disappears.

I'm using the superuser hide method.
