Autofill interference

I am assigning my own password to a site. When I get to the user id, the
browser is still helpfully suggesting names, which causes SP to

I'm unable to reproduce your first problem. Can you spell out the exact steps that caused it, including the site?

2. Type in nickname
3. Click on 'Your user-id for this account'
4. The browser gives some very helpful suggestions.
5. SitePassword closes

I found 4 things you can try.

• At chrome://settings/clearBrowserData,
  • Click "Clear browsing data."
  • Select the Advanced tab in the popup window that opened.
  • Check the box "Autofill form data."
  • Click the "Clear data" button.
  • If that doesn't fix the problem, you can also try clearing "Passwords and other signin data."
• If you have an icon that looks like a key in the address bar near the star icon,
  • Click it
  • Click the Trash Can icon.
• Turn off "Save and fill payment methods" at chrome://settings/payments.
• Delete any Saved Passwords at chrome://settings/passwords.
