(Copying this comment from #1075) Setting that variable on every desktop entry file just to override the one passed to Albert seems very costly (many users have many apps and that would imply having to edit many .desktop files, and in some distributions, editing them will cause issues with the package manager). Maybe the best solution is allowing the user to blacklist some env variables to be used for a child process? That would solve the QT scaling factor issue. |

Inheriting may be unfavorable because e.g. QT scaling factor of albert may conflict with the expectations of the launched apps. A clean environment may be unfavorable because it may neglect global env vars. A system environment is difficult to get.
