I think it would be a good idea to incorporate support for the SMB protocol, this way we could easily transfer files from our Windows, Linux, Android, iPhone easily. I'm not necessarily talking about running the game directly from a remote location, just facilitating the transfer of files with a universal protocol that is open source today.

Use ezRemote Client for PS3. It supports FTP/SMB/NFS/WebDAV/HTTP
