Placeholder task to consider rewriting the script in C++/Rust/Haskell/whatever.

I'm quite comfortable with resource usage of a python script, but if there's someone who aren't it is possible to reimplement the script in a compiled language.

I think KDE's Ksm could be a good example how do the same thing here in C++ the point being that ksmserver does the very same thing except that it also work on X11.
